The BrOK® surge protector, type 1pSHDSL-BC/DIN is a 1+2 surge protector (lightning arrester class B and surge arrester class C). It is designed to protect two pairs of SHDSL data communication conductors, routed through a cable protected against direct lightning strike (LPZ 0 , ) and electronic devices and equipment connected to this cable against B C effects of electromagnetic industrial interference, overvoltage and atmospheric discharges. The protection protects the connected electronic devices even in the event of a direct lightning strike on the lightning arresting system of the building in accordance with the wording of IEC 61312-1 (shock wave test with an amplitude of 3 kA and a duration of 10/350 μs). This type of surge protection is intended for data transmission devices.
