Manageable Industrial Switch

L106-S2 is a serial server with Industrial Ethernet features at the Link Layer (Layer 2). The device is equipped with the WeOS operating system with Linux kernel, 4. TX ports, two SFP transceiver slots with Gigabit capability, and two RS-232 and one RS-422/485 ports. Lynx DSS is the most compact switch with the lowest power consumption currently on the market. Only the industry's highest quality components enable it to achieve a MTBF of 593,000 hours, predicting long device life and low service intervention. The operating temperature range is -40 ~ +70°C with no rotating parts, where operation can be at temperature extremes for the life of the equipment.

Westermo products are tested in Westermo laboratories and in independent laboratories to achieve standards for EMC, isolation, vibration and mechanical shock (shock). The results of these tests exceed the requirements for operation in extra heavy industrial environments or on railways. WeOS was developed by Westermo without any commitment from other parties. The operating system provides cross-platform software compatibility, unique features for controlling serial devices over the network, support for Modbus Gateway, virtual COM, etc. WeOS guarantees backward compatibility of individual products with this OS.
